Across contrasting conditions and line-ups, GASCL’s depth of talent shone through, sealing the series with commanding displays in both batting and bowling.

Game 1 — GASCL Allstars Crush Finals by 174 Runs

The Florida Finals Group won the toss and elected to bowl first, a decision that backfired as GASCL raced out of the blocks. Openers Mark Parchment (20) and Romario King (39) laid a solid platform before Captain Hanchard Hamilton took center stage, blasting an unbeaten 75 off just 40 balls, laced with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Late-order support from allrounder Neive McNally, who struck a rapid 22 featuring three towering sixes, propelled GASCL to a formidable 230 for 8 in their 20 overs. Gaston Walker, Lenroy Whyte, and Antonico Scott each claimed two wickets for the Finals.

In reply, the Finals Allstars never recovered from a disastrous start, slumping to 15 for 6. Jason Thompson’s fighting unbeaten 33 was the lone bright spot, but the innings folded for just 56 runs. Denva Passley, Evroy Dyer, and Jessie Alexander each picked up three wickets to seal a dominant win.

Game 2 — Rain Halts GASCL’s Charge After Dominant Position

Looking to showcase their squad depth, GASCL fielded ten new faces for the second match. The Finals Allstars, batting first in search of a series-leveling win, posted 162 for 9. Romario King with 43, while Orrington Hamilton exploded for an unbeaten 51 off just 26 balls (2 fours, 6 sixes), with Wayne Davis chipping in an unbeaten 31. Adam Khan was the pick of the Finals bowlers, finishing with figures of 2 for 15.The Finals Allstars responded with intent, as openers Steven Taylor (32) and Tanzin Ahmed Nebir (31) took the attack to GASCL’s bowlers. Anirban Majumdar fought hardest with a valiant 56, but the chase ultimately fell short, with the Finals bowled out for 171 in 20 overs. Coi Thompson was outstanding for GASCL, claiming 4 for 23, with Jessie Alexander adding 3 for 26.
