For more than two decades, the Georgia Supreme Cricket League has provided a stage for some of the Southeast’s finest cricket talent. Looking back through the league archives brings forward memorable matches, outstanding individual performances, and the players who helped shape cricket in Georgia.
One memorable weekend in 2009 featured a powerful performance from Tropical Sports Club, a fighting century from Vibes Sports Club’s Fredrick Redwood, and victories for UBACC and MCC.

“`After weeks of rain interruptions across Georgia, cricket returned with a statement performance from Tropical Sports Club against defending champions Vibes Sports Club.
Winning the toss and batting first, Tropical recovered from an early wicket through a commanding partnership between Lyndon Johnson and M. Sutton. The pair added 160 runs for the second wicket, setting the foundation for a massive total.
Johnson scored 85, Sutton added 72, and Richard Hoilett finished unbeaten on 71* as Tropical posted a commanding total.

Redwood Century Leads Vibes Fightback
Vibes Sports Club suffered early setbacks in the chase, but Fredrick Redwood produced one of the standout innings of the match. Redwood scored a fighting 102, including seven fours and seven sixes.
His effort helped Vibes recover from early trouble, but Tropical’s total proved too much. The match produced more than 600 combined runs, with over fifty boundaries and thirty sixes.
